Durian Festival 2011 @ Penang

What so special with the month of June each year? Lemme tell you, June is the month which you can look for more and more durians at the fruit stalls and even the road side. Durian known as King of the Durians has a thick, hard thorn husk and long spikes to protect itself. the fleshy give off strong aromatic and fragrant smell, it taste sweet and sometimes taste bitter (depends type of durians). Some people might say Durian smell stinky and terrible, but most of people who love it will definitely "Thumbs Up" for the wonderful taste.

Taste it, and you will love it ! <3

Durians come with many various types, for example Ang Haw (Red Prawn), Xiao Hung (Small Red), Ho Lor, Cheh Phoay Kia, D24, and etc....






Last Saturday, my friend and I went to Balik Pulau to look for duriansssss and the gang (Nangka, Rambutan, Mangosteen). We really enjoy ourselves there. The stall we went is like Durian Buffet, it cost RM20 per person. Here are some photographs I took at the Durian stall,
